As Lending & Compliance Associate at Partners for the Common Good (PCG), Alejandro Barrancos plays a key role in managing PCG’s loan portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor requirements. Alejandro supports the day-to-day oversight of the $60+ million participation loan portfolio, including monitoring repayments, tracking fund allocations, and maintaining high standards of credit quality and risk management. He is also responsible for managing New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) compliance, collaborating closely with project stakeholders to ensure financial and reporting requirements are met.
With a strong background in finance, Alejandro has experience in financial analysis, credit assessment, and loan servicing. Prior to joining PCG, Alejandro worked as a Loan Servicing Analyst at Walker & Dunlop, where he managed a $200 million customized market loan portfolio and monitored asset performance. Earlier in his career, he served as an Investment Analyst at Radford University SMIPO, overseeing a $3.5 million investment portfolio and conducting due diligence on financial sector investments.
Alejandro brings a collaborative approach to his work, building strong relationships with borrowers, investors, and cross-functional teams to support impactful community development projects. His experience spans both capital markets and community-focused financial institutions, giving him a comprehensive perspective on portfolio management and compliance.
Alejandro holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Radford University with a minor in Information Technology, as well as certifications in RMA Commercial Lending. Outside of work, Alejandro enjoys playing golf and soccer.
