Sarah has worked for more than a decade at the intersection of financial capability, community development, and economic justice, spearheading initiatives that expand access to equitable banking services, financial coaching, and survivor-centered economic support.
She was previously an economic justice senior specialist at the National Network to End Domestic Violence, where she managed a credit-builder loan program and provided technical assistance to state and territorial coalitions. Before that, she was associate director of TrustPlus at Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners, leading a team of financial coaches to innovate service-delivery models for workers nationwide, and a financial capability manager at Prosperity Connection, where she expanded coaching programs, built strategic partnerships, and developed financial products that fostered long-term financial stability. Sarah began her career as a Teach For America member in the Mississippi Delta, where she taught Spanish and worked to close opportunity gaps for students. She speaks Spanish fluently and holds a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s degree from Smith College.
